International call for papers for Marine Conference

"Already attracting keen interest from industry leaders," says BIAA

Suitably qualified marine industry and related government officials from any country are encouraged to be part of the Marine13 international conference program. A call for papers is open until the end of July.

Abstracts are encouraged from all areas of the marine industry and all abstracts will be considered. Abstracts should relate to at least one of the following themes of the conference; Boating Business, Boat Safety and Marinas.

Marine13 is the first-ever Australian integrated marine industry international conference and exhibition. It is being held in Sydney 28-30 April 2013.

The Boating Industries Alliance Australia Chairman Darren Vaux believes Marine13 will become the major rallying point for the marine industries not just in Australia but across the Asia Pacific region. "It is important this major international event attracts the very best national and international speakers. Already we are attracting keen interest from industry leaders in the USA, Europe and Asia. Within the recreational boating safety stream, for example, we anticipate the presence of a sufficient sample of national leaders to be able to take away from the event the very best in world boating safety education and compliance practices".

The three streams of Marine13 will allow for detailed analysis of trends, case studies, new developments and best practices within each stream. A small number of plenary sessions will focus on the big issues facing the recreational marine sector such as factors impacting on supply and demand and likely impacts arising from new technologies.

Abstracts for Marine13 should be no more than 250 words in length and a template for submission is available from the Marine13 web site. Enquiries regarding the submission of abstracts should be directed to marine13@arinex.com.au.
