Lighting up the Chinese Riviera earlier this month, the Hainan Rendez-Vous was the largest and most spectacular luxury yacht show of its kind in Asia. It was to provide a remarkable stage for the unveiling of IAG Yachts 100’ Electra.
Following the Chinese International Boat Show in Shanghai in 2011, there has been much anticipation for this public showing of the first hull and excitement mounted for Ensign Ship Brokers who have sold hull #2 to an undisclosed buyer for US$6.5 million.
With production already underway, the 104’ version of the 100’ Electra is equipped with everything for luxury cruising and is set to rival the San Lorenzo 104'.
Fully fitted with Seakeeper gyro stabiliser, two jet skis, a substantial tender, four staterooms and three crew cabins, this yacht is destined to generate waves of pride for Ensign, IAG and of course its new owner.
In the wake of its expansion into the superyacht arena and subsequent emergence of satellite offices in Korea, Singapore and China, Ensign Ship Brokers is now looking for distributors in New Zealand.
Ensign Managing Director Tony Ross commented, "This is a very exciting time for Ensign -- the business is going from strength to strength even with the market the way it is and we know undoubtedly, it can only get better".
