Hunter 27 Edge

American sailboat producer, Hunter Marine Corporation (HMC) has now completed prototype testing of its latest model - the Hunter 27 Edge

HMC said it may seem strange in today's energy-focused environment that it would develop a sailing craft with a powerboat twist, however, in recognition that its customers are requesting more flexibility in a small trailerable package, it has responded with a multi-purpose family sportsboat.

The boatbuilder said the new Hunter 27 Edge offers a new level of integrated design, blending the freedom of sailing with the flexibility of a powerboat.

Depending on the weather, or your own desire, HMC said you can choose to raise the sails - or lower the engine - with sailing, fishing, sightseeing, swimming, and wakeboarding all part of the on-water family activities the Edge can bring.

The boatbuilder said the hull shape allows for excellent sailing characteristics, plus a stable platform for planing under power while trailerability is enhanced by a swing keel.
