Telwater, Australia's biggest manufacturer of aluminium boat-and-trailer packages and the biggest Evinrude customer in Australia by far, has just received its first shipment of Evinrude engines at its impressive Gold Coast factory.
Earlier this year, the manufacturer of Evinrude outboard engines, BRP, appointed Telwater as the national Australian distributor of the impressive Evinrude E-TEC outboard range. You can read the back story on BRP appointing Telwater as sole Evinrude distributor here.
The Telwater store is now stocked with 350 Evinrude engines ranging from 3hp up to 250hp.
Telwater aims to stock 450 engines in its store to be readily available to the vast Evinrude dealer network across Australia.
Telwater General Manager Nick Phelan said receiving the first shipment of Evinrude engines this month was a rewarding experience and a step in the right direction for Telwater.
"I am excited to announce Telwater has received its first shipment of Evinrude engines direct from the BRP manufacturing plant," Nick said.
"It is a significant moment for Telwater and the marine industry as a whole, there has been a lot of work behind the scenes to get to this point.
"To see motors being ordered and shipped the same day from the Telwater facility is a very satisfying first step towards our end goal.
"The Telwater team is thriving on the new challenges and the place is absolutely buzzing, which is great to see, and we look forward to the future of Telwater and Evinrude," Nick concluded.
Since 2011, Telwater and Evinrude have proven to have a successful partnership and both parties believe this agreement is the next step to providing customers with the best boating experience possible.
The initial agreement will cover the distribution of engines only to Telwater boat-and-motor and Evinrude motor-only dealerships Australia-wide.
