Haines Hunter is rightfully excited to announce the release of the all-new 2100R performance ski, race and social boat that looks impressive in the 'spy' shots shown here ahead of its official 2016 Melbourne boat show launch on Friday June 17.
Formerly know as the 2100SO, the hi-performance ski and offshore race boat was always an integral part of Haines Hunter's legacy. However, this is the first time that a dedicated sportsboat has been part of the Haines Hunter fleet in the modern era.
The new 2100R is the result of dealer and customer feedback showing that inquiry for this model is still very strong. We have it on good authority one dealer has already ordered three of the dazzling new boats ahead of its public unveiling.
A YEAR IN R&D
The all-new 2100R has been in development at Haines Hunter’s manufacturing facility in Victoria for 12 months. The R&D team has thoroughly researched what today’s buyer is demanding in the sports' segment and has delivered a boat that exceeds expectations both aesthetically and in performance, Haines Hunter says.
The new 2100R sports a completely new hull and a fully redesigned deck with modern lines and features that are said to fulfill the needs of modern-day sportsboaters.
A key point of difference with the new 2100R is that its significantly wider, yet far more streamlined, offering a larger cockpit space and rating to carry seven people.
National Sales Manger Tim Davies said: "Haines Hunter is extremely excited about developing such an amazing boat for the sports market. Whether you’re into family cruising, the occasional ski, wakeboarding or you’re into hardcore offshore racing, this boat can do it all.
HEAD TURNING 2100R WITH 300HP RATING
"On-water tests have shown its performance to be far superior to the old 2100so. The hull is now beamier, yet the running strakes have been remodeled to vastly improve handling. It’s been built and designed to handle a whopping 300 horsepower so it’s a very quick, yet very safe boat.
"On top of all the enhanced performance features it’s a beautiful looking boat that turns a lot of heads wherever it goes," Davies said.
NEW HULL DESIGN
The all-new hull design of the 2100R offers significant performance features over past models. With a 300 horsepower Mercury Verado, speeds of 72mph (115 kmh or 62 knots) are easily reached, which is significantly faster than the previous model with the same amount of horsepower.
While being faster, the new hull also offers far greater stability and has been designed to provide superior performance in wind-swept bays rather than purely being designed for the protected waterways of inland dams and lakes.
"The idea behind the new 2100R is that you have a premium boat that offers stability, class leading on-water performance and all the mod-cons associated with sports boating, but it can handle the choppy conditions often encountered when spending a day on the bay. Rather than it being a vessel that is only designed for use in glassed-out conditions on a freshwater lake, you can launch it anywhere and have fun skiing or wakeboarding," Davies adds.
THREE PRICE POINTS
The new 2100R will be available in three options at three price points: a bare hull that you can set-up and customise to suit your specific needs; a model that is ready and equipped for family boating; or a fully optioned wakeboarding variant.
The all-new 2100R will be released at the 2016 Melbourne Boat Show held in June. For further information see www.haineshunter.com.au.
