Horizon Shores redevelopment welcomed

Meridien Marina's decision to fast track work on the industrial precinct at Horizon Shores in Queensland has been welcomed by the marine industry

Meridien will invest $500 million into the redevelopment of Horizon Shores and, with the first phase of new berths now underway, the developer has decided to start construction on the first of a number of industrial buildings.

Meridien Marina’s chief executive, Warwick Bible, said the building would be far more design detailed than the average industrial shed.

“We don’t want the industrial to impact aesthetically on the waterfront aspect or on other businesses and public spaces only metres away. We’ve gone to some lengths to design industrial buildings with plenty of architectural flair that will fit in with an overall look and feel,” he said.

The Horizon Shores expansion will include a ‘Marina Village’ with waterfront cafes and restaurants, a yacht club, specialty retail outlets, day spa, and child minding facilities.

To inquire about leasing space in the industrial precinct, phone Shane Hay on (07) 5546 2300.
