Horizon says that the new Horizon RP102 features a combination of fluid lines and modern proportions -- large glass windows allow natural light to flow into the interior spaces creating the feeling of a much larger yacht. A full-beam master stateroom on the forward main deck, complete with an en-suite master bath, provides a magnificent view and wall-to-wall luxury.
We're told that the exterior areas are equally impressive; at the touch of a button, the Sky Terrace, a patented design by Rover, can increase the flybridge deck area by 20 per cent without compromising the yacht's fluid design. A beach club forward of the swim platform offers a space ideal for enjoying the ocean view that is also protected from the sun.
Horizon utilised Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and scale-model tests to develop the RP102 hull which provides 25 per cent less fuel consumption at a 20-knot cruise speed than a conventional planning hull.
The new Horizon RP102 concept design is the answer to consumer demand, emphasising luxury, safety and interior volume within a dual purpose, performance-oriented hull. Additional details will be revealed at the 2013 Dusseldorf Boat Show.
