Horizon Yachts Australia has officially launched the Horizon FD87 Skylounge after it missed out on its Sanctuary Cove debut by a matter of days.
The newest member of Horizon’s Fast Displacement series, the first Horizon FD87 delivered here was built on-spec for the Australian market.
Hull number 18 features a limited-edition fit-out at the hands of Dutch naval designer Cor D. Rover – this build wears a Cor D. Rover Signature Series badge.
The new three-level high-volume model features five staterooms — the deck-level master stretches the full beam of the hull – and a fully custom interior with a beach garage and even a touch-and-go helipad for fast arrivals and extractions in remote places.
The Skybridge – Horizon’s name for the FD87’s flybridge level – is enclosed on three sides and features a “micro” bridge to give more space to the aft section of the bridge. This, along with a wet bar and seating, provides more entertainment space at rest and good tender storage while on the move.
Other features include a staircase to the foredeck from the main deck, the main saloon with a formal dining area, a fully enclosed galley, satin walnut finishes, a large bow seating area that includes a sun pad and jacuzzi, and a retractable radar tower – handy when a helicopter is coming into the helipad.
The Horizon FD87 is also equipped with a watermaker capable of providing 5300 litres of potable water a day, bow and stern thrusters and ZeroSpeed stabilisers, and a hydraulic swim deck that can lower into the water.
Horizon Yachts Australia has not disclosed the price of the new arrival.
