Hinterland Group and Yamaha

Offering well-known local boat brands and backed by the team behind Hinterland Toyota, the newly named Broadwater Boating Centre in Labrador is already enjoying brisk business, said Yamaha Motor Australia.

The Hinterland Group consists of a number of automotive, marine, recreational vehicle, trade and financial businesses that support the Gold Coast and surrounding Hinterland area.

With Hinterland Marine in Burleigh Heads already a thriving member of the Hinterland Group for more than four years, the latest Broadwater Boating Centre project has all the right ingredients borne of a long-term plan bound for success, said Yamaha.

"Building the Broadwater Boating Centre has been a long-term plan of the Hinterland Group with Yamaha and Quintrex key ingredients to this dealership," said Broadwater Boating Centre general manager, David Whyte.

"Hinterland Marine has been the premier Quintrex dealership throughout the southern Gold Coast region and we wanted to maintain this momentum in the north.

"When the opportunity came to purchase an existing Yamaha dealership in the northern region, we jumped at the chance to bring Quintrex together with Yamaha outboards," Whyte said.

While only early days, the team at Broadwater Boating Centre are confident of their future success and expect to apply the same formula that governs all Hinterland Group businesses and customer service.

"We have purposefully stuck with local boating brands, with Quintrex and Allison fibreglass boats all powered exclusively by Yamaha outboards for a wide range of boating needs," said Whyte.
