Iconic Hatteras Yachts says it is taking style and innovation to a new level with the announcement of the all new Express Series set to debut at the 2014 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, October 30 to November 3.
The harbinger is the Hatteras 45 EX. Two distinct configurations of the 45 EX will be on display at the show. The first will be fully rigged for "tournament-style" sportfishing while the second is stacked with features and amenities that Hatteras says are perfect for the cruising lifestyle.
"The Hatteras Express Series raises the bar in design, engineering, and performance for the inboard express-market segment. This series is the perfect complement to the Hatteras product portfolio by delivering innovative design and a focus on complete versatility, functionality, and incredible comfort," said John Ward, President and CEO of Hatteras Yachts.
"Owners will enjoy not only an abundance of amenities, but also a significant reduction of overall noise levels and vibration that you would typically experience on an inboard express boat of this size," Ward adds.
With multiple arrangements and several possible configurations, the Hatteras Express Series is said to offer significant standard features and luxurious content as a base boat to exceed other express boats in its class.
Standard features include a resin-infused solid fibreglass hull bottom, integrated hardtop, a large single pane forward windshield, and Hatteras custom-engineered sound-deadening materials and systems to reduce overall noise and vibration.
"Classic Hatteras styling combined with creative design elements have created this exciting new Express series that customers have been looking for," David Brown, Hatteras’ Manager of Product Design, said. "These unique features underpin the versatile personality of the Hatteras Express series and demonstrate Hatteras Yachts ability to capture the market and create products that set themselves apart from the mainstream."
CEO Ward says Hatteras Yachts will continue to aggressively expand the product portfolio. The new Hatteras Express Series will be boosted with a 52 currently under development.
"We see tremendous growth potential with this series appealing to boaters who are looking for a truly innovative and highly versatile platform that only Hatteras can bring," Ward adds.
The Hatteras and Cabo brands of motoryachts, sportfishing convertibles and express boats are owned by to Navis HCY Acquisition, an affiliate of Versa Capital, which is a private equity firm based in Philadelphia. Sister company Cabo already has successful 44 and 52 Express models. It will be interesting to see what point of difference exists with the Hatteras.
