Hanse says that Judel/Vrolijk have met the market demand for fast, high volume cruisers and designed a sleek new hull for the new Hanse 345.
The large cockpit has twin wheels and the fold-down bathing platform favoured by Australian yachties. Decks are clean and clear with integrated grab rails and all lines lead aft to the twin helm positions.
The Hanse original self-tacking headsail was fundamental to the design from day one and buyers can option up to electric winches to make sailing even easier.
Down below the 345 has five opening hatches and new ‘light stripes’ giving ample light and ventilation. The new Italian oak interior is a rich, contemporary option. But best of all, buyers can choose a two or three-cabin version.
"The 345 follows the styling of the hugely-successful Hanse 385 and is the perfect entry-level yacht for the Australian market," said Mary Bickley from the importers, Windcraft. "It’s also ideal for downsizers looking for luxury and easy sailing," she added.
"The Hanse Group surprised their dealers with this new model -- no-one was expecting it to be released so quickly on the back of the new 575. We are particularly delighted to have a three-cabin 34 footer to offer our customers," said ms Bickley
Pricing of the new 345 is pretty sharp too with the base boat starting at $189,500. Ms Bickly told boatpoint.com.au that the first six boats to be ordered would receive Windcraft's Cruise Pack and their choice of either the Performance Pack or Interior Upgrade free of charge. "This equates to over $16,000 worth of free extras for the first six," she said.
The first 345 has already been ordered for a Melbourne customer and will be available for inspection at the Summer Boat SHow in February.
