Hanse 630e with new Telescopic Keel

HanseYachts said that with a new keel construction, the draught of the Hanse 630e is now hydraulically adjustable to between 3.10 and 2.35 metres

The German yachtbuilder said that to crews and owners, this will mean access to smaller harbours and shallower waters without the loss of the fine sailing characteristics of the Hanse.

HanseYachts said the new telescopic keel is now available as an option, and the innovation was part of the company's philosophy of pursuing the target of finding new solutions for owners.

The yachtbuilder said the draught of a vessel automatically increased with the size of the yacht and this limited access to many sailing areas of the world unless the choice of a shallower draught and a reduction in sailing ability was made.

HanseYachts said solutions, such as the short or hoisting keels, had either a negative effect on the speed and performance or required valuable space in the yacht's interior.

HanseYachts said the telescopic keel does not require any space in the interior and enables owners to cruise in the shallower waters of the world.
