Haines Hunter’s commitment to high-quality manufacturing continues to be recognised, taking out the Marine Manufacturing of Vessels award once again for the year 2011.
An extensive criteria was set and judged from outside independent professionals. These judges were commissioned by the B.I.A.
Haines Hunter said it continues to set the standard in boat manufacturing by following stringent procedures and ensuring all boats meet the Australian Safety guidelines.
Company CEO John Haber said: "Haines Hunter prides itself on building boats to a set standard with exceptional quality and using the highest-quality raw products available. Our craftsmen enjoy and love boats as much as I do and it is reflected in the finish of our boats.
"We are also one of the few manufacturers that ensures every boat is built to meet Australian safety regulations. Hundreds of thousands of dollars are spent on the research and development on each and every Haines Hunter model," Haber added.
Amongst the awards on the day, Haines Hunter’s Hudson Mitchell won Metropolitan Apprentice of the Year 2011.
Haines Hunter was also recently inducted into the Victorian Manufacturing Hall of Fame in recognition of the company’s vision and success in its manufacturing and environmental practices. Haines Hunter is the only existing fibreglass boat manufacturer to receive this award.
