Experienced boaties need no introduction to the famed deep vee hulls that have been a feature of Haines Hunter boats for decades but now the company is aiming four "classic" models at both the fishing and recreational markets.
Haines "performance deadrise vee" (PDV) hulls have long proved themselves in all local conditions as they offer a comfortable and dry ride and ample interior space.
The company says the 600 and 650 classic offshore series, along with their twins the 600 and 650 classic cruiser boats, combine the perfect balance of performance and stability.
All the boats have been designed to accept either single or twin engines.
The offshore models maximise onboard space and incorporate large livebait tanks, stainless steel rod holders, padded cockpit coamings and plenty of side pocket and underfloor storage. At the same time they have sufficient creature comforts to keep the family happy -- including a spacious cabin that provides a day retreat for the kids or a comfortable berth for two adults overnight.
For family boating, the cruiser series gives all the advantages of a caravan on water. They feature a comfortable L-shaped lounge and cockpit table, a compact galley and a comfortable cabin. But if the boat is wanted for some serious fishing, the lounge and table can be easily removed to make a spacious fishing platform.
The boats' feature ultra heavy hulls for exceptional performance in rugged conditions and a long range fuel capacity for trips to offshore fishing grounds or for long distance cruising.
