Iconic Australian boat builder Haines Hunter will launch several key new models at this year's Melbourne Boat Show to be held from June 12-16 at the Melbourne Exhibition and Convention Centre.
The big debuts from the Melbourne yard are an all-new 625 and 675 Offshore in three different configurations: Standard (bimini), Hardtop (grp lid) and Enclosed (full windscreen) as pictured.
The company says that the lid mix will cater for a broad range of serious offshore fishing requirements right around the country. The new models will be built upon Haines Hunter's unique and tested 21-degree Performance Deadrise Vee (PDV) hull.
Among the new features on the Offshore boats will be a rear seat, fully customised moulded dashboard, and a dive door which is fast becoming a must-have for keen offshore boaters.
This boat has been two years in the making and we're told it has been designed by the company's key dealers as a result of feedback from the boating public. The result is an all-rounder under the six-metre mark that ticks all the boxes for family fun on the water.
The boat is said to be roomy and stable, with a 2.4-metre beam. It features a large cabin which can accommodate a person up to 6ft 1in (185cm) tall lying down. The cabin also has enough room for a toilet if required.
According to Haines Hunter's Tim Davies, the boat will offer high freeboard so it's safe for kids and offshore fishing.
"This boat will be perfect for just about everything: waterskiing, towing ski biscuits, offshore fishing and everything in between."
"This is going to be a very important boat for us," Davies said. "Our dealers can't wait to get their hands on the boat as they know, as we do, that this will a perfect all-rounder for the Aussie market."
The 565 can be powered by any outboard from 115hp to 150hp and will be equipped with a 200-litre long-range tank.
