While the photos aren't yet to hand Haines Hunter has decided to release three new Cruiser models that cater specifically for the family and leisure markets.
The enduring Melbourne boatbuilder says the time is right to create a better Cruiser, with the high Aussie dollar bringing buyers back to domestic brands, and a need for some performance pedigree in the leisure sector.
While the current crop of Haines Hunters caters mainly to trailerboat fishermen, the well-known offshore boat brand has decided to take its soft riding and stable hulls to
a sector of the market whose main use is cruising, skiing, watersports
and general family fun, explained Haines Hunter National Sales Manager Tim Davies.
"When we first discussed the idea of producing models for the weekender or family boating market, the first thought we had is why should a soft ride and rough water ability be compromised for an interior that offers creature comforts?
"The whole idea of our new Cruiser range is to provide Haines Hunter’s unequalled world-class performance in a boat that is aimed at a family wanting to spend a day skiing, swimming and cruising," Davies said.
THREE CRUISER MODELS
Three Cruiser models will be released at Melbourne International Boat Show (June 17-20), based on the high performance 565 (565R version shown in opening photo above), 595 and 625 hulls.
The new Cruiser models will differ in a number of ways from the standard fishing range, including by offering plush carpet throughout the entire boat.
This includes the rear deck, side pockets and cabin.
A rear lounge in an upgraded plush fabric will be fitted as the perfect crew seating at rest or while underway. Complementing the lounge area will be a rear table allowing for easy food preparation, meals and games for the adults or kids.
A passenger seat box will include a rear seat incorporating a sink and stove for lunches or dinners during overnight stays. The driver and passenger seat will have a provision for ice boxes to be stored underneath allowing for weekend food and drink storage.
There will be full cabin and deck lighting, moulded foot rests, stainless steel drink holders, paddled side combings, increased storage compartments and each model will be finished with new modern graphics and styling.
CREATURE COMFORTS AND PERFORMANCE
"Too many cruiser boats on today's market offer the creature comforts of home within the interior but are very lack luster when it comes to ride and build quality," Davies, a former Haines Hunter owner, said.
"What we’re offering in these models is state-of-the-art interiors that cater for long weekend stays with handling and performance just as comfortable as the interior."
Haines Hunter says the pricing of these three new 565, 595 and 625 Cruiser models will be competitive, however, the new boats will offer all the benefits that are synonymous with Haines Hunter brand including great resale value, a soft ride, and high build quality.
