Greenline, Sealine motor yachts offer pick-up with a Euro twist

Eyachts launches new service allowing customers to explore the Mediterranean ahead of their new boat’s Australian arrival

Sydney-based eyachts has announced it will allow its customers to take delivery of their Greenline or Sealine motor yachts in Europe, giving them the chance of a Mediterranean excursion before the boats are shipped to Australia.

The option will allow buyers to spend a season – or more – on the Mediterranean. Owners who take up the option could also make significant savings on winterising their boats – with the savings contributing to the cost of flying over to Europe – and on shipping costs when they decide to bring it back to Australia.

Eyachts spokeswoman Marnie Ebeling said it was a similar initiative to the one that a lot of sailboat makers already offered to Australian customers.

“A lot of sailboat buyers will sail their boat back to Australia,” she said. “We won’t do that, but owners can leave their boat in Europe for a few seasons before bringing it back.”

Greenline’s boats are made in Slovenia, opening up opportunities to spend the summer season cruising off the coast of Croatia. Sealine boats, meanwhile, are built in Germany, with nearby Mallorca a popular jumping off point for Mediterranean cruises. Other parts of Spain, and even the French coastline, are options.

“You could then even potentially get down to Greece via Montenegro – I’m thinking Montenegro might be a good place to winterise.”

Picking up the boats from Europe will also allow buyers to get on board much faster than if they waited for it to be delivered here.

“A lot of our customers are those type of people who have the freedom to go and travel, and they do those sorts of things anyway,” Ebeling said.

“So I think it’s the people who go over there and do their charter overseas and elsewhere who are going to be like ‘Okay, I actually would buy a boat and I guess it can come back to Australia at some point’.”

Eyachts plans to have the all-new Greenline Neo at both the upcoming Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show and the Sydney International Boat Show. Early plans are to have the Hardtop version of the Neo at Sanctuary Cove, while the Coupe version is slated to make its debut at Sydney.

Eyachts also aims to have the Greenline 39 at both Sanctuary Cove and Sydney, while the Sealine C330 sports cruiser will have its showing at Sanctuary Cove.
