Great prizes at Flattie Classic
Two new boats up for grabs and heaps more on the Gold Coast this week!The Gold Coast Sportsfishing Club host of the annual Flathead Classic proudly sponsored by Carlton Mid and Bluefin Boats will commence this Wednesday, October 3 with the tournament launch, and fishing to commence from Thursday through to Saturday.
There are 200 teams expected in this year's event with more than 400 anglers participating in the regions premier fishing tournament. With more than $100,000 worth of prizes on offer, the competition to take out this years title will be immense.
The major prize for a lucky entrant is a new Bluefin boat fitted with a Suziki 60hp four stroke motor and Oceanic trailer. All major prizes are based on a lucky door system so that all competitors regardless of fishing ability have an opportunity to win these fantastic prizes.
In addition, there is a junior angler prize boat which is a Bluefin 3.0 Catfish dinghy supplied with a Suziki 4hp outboard.
The Bluefin boat this year has been kept secret from all outside the company and we're told it truly is something special and will be revealed at the tournament opening on Wednesday night at 7:30pm. Anticipation has been building as sneak peaks have been released from the company.
The boat itself is a brand new model and the 2012 Flathead Classic marks its official launch as a production model.
Media have been invited to attend the unveiling and to water test not only this new model but also the recently-released Bluefin 4.95 Firecat.
