Grand Banks Launches Aleutian 53

Safe, comfortable cruiser with all-new design.

Grand Banks Yachts Australia is happy to announce that the first 53 Aleutian RP has arrived in Australia and is currently on display at the GBYA office at Hope Island Marina on the Gold Coast.

The 53 Aleutian RP is the smallest in the Aleutian series and boasts three cabins with a mid-ship master stateroom, a new modernised interior décor, internal access to the flybridge, a large cockpit and much more.

Exceptionally capable of supporting a cruising couple or family on long voyages -- or of setting the perfect stage for entertaining and enjoyment closer to home -- the 53RP is an all-new design from the in-house team at Grand Banks. The model is available with standard twin 600hp diesel engines and options up to 715hp, which will generate top speeds estimated at over 22 knots. Alternately, owners who choose to cruise at displacement speeds can see fuel economy that is equivalent to displacement-style vessels, with a range of over 1000 miles.

"Development of the 53RP was driven by the same key principles of seaworthiness, comfort, performance and sophistication," said Hank Compton, from Grand Banks Yachts Australia. "When you step on board it's astonishing to see the amount of living space and features on a vessel of this size. There's no compromise whatsoever in the level of amenities, luxury and craftsmanship between the 53RP and her larger Aleutian siblings."

In other news Grand Banks Australia welcomes John Sisson to the team. An experienced yachtsman and qualified skipper, John has joined Grand Banks Australia principally in marketing and sales of both new and used boats, but will also be available to assist with any queries our owners may have.

John's boating experience in Australia started on cray boats out of Geraldton in WA and progressed via various vessels to the present catamaran on which he and his wife spent the past three years cruising the East Coast.
