Horizon Motor Yachts Australia's owners, Matt Yapp and Gary Wahlstedt, introduced the company’s new General Manager at the 2015 Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show (SCIBS).
Well-versed on logistics and large conveyances, Mr Robert Arnold joins the HMYA team after 20 years in the mining and transport industries.
Evidently, Rob decided it was time for a sea change and moved to the Gold Coast to take up his new appointment.
After completing his diesel-fitter apprenticeship previously, Rob worked in numerous locations and mine sites throughout Queensland and WA on his way to becoming Operation Manager at a large global OEM.
No longer working at remote locations, Rob is looking forward to spending quality time with his wife Jane and their three girls Eboni, Amelia and Elayna who can’t wait to be living by the sea.
Rob is now looking forward to bringing new ideas and enthusiasm to the marine industry and taking HMYA to the next level to achieve their goal of becoming the number one Horizon dealer globally.
Meantime, following the 2015 SCIBS, HMYA will put its V72 on display at Southport Yacht Club this Sunday May 31 from 10am-2pm. The open day from 10am-2pm welcomes visitors aboard the luxury vessel.
