Gold Coast-based 100-foot sports yacht Murcielago has sold at auction for an undisclosed sum, organisers behind the sale have revealed.
Owners of the 30-metre Predator, built in 2004 from fibreglass-reinforced plastic resin by British yard Sunseeker, were asking for $2.4 million via auctioneers Ray White Marine – well down on the $US2.8 million price tag the boat wore when it was last sold in 2011.
It has since had a full refit completed in 2014. Murcielago can accommodate up to eight guests in four cabins; a master suite and VIP stateroom – each with a full ensuite – and a pair of twin-berth cabins. There is also crew accommodation.

“Murcielago has substantial deck space for socialising, lounging and sunbathing, as well as an upper saloon with expansive skylights and a retractable sunroof for superb open-air entertainment,” Ray White Marine said in a statement. “[An] upgraded Sonos surround sound system enables you to control your entertainment from your phone.
“She boasts large aft and bow sunpads, combined with a hydraulic bathing platform, a barbecue and wet bar, as well as comfortable al fresco dining for up to 10 guests.”
Water toys stored in Murcielago’s garage include a Williams jet tender and two Sea-Doo power skis.
Powering Murcielago are three MTU 2000 Series engines fitted with overhauled Arneson Surface Drives providing enough grunt to move the sports yacht along at up to 47 knots over the water, and hold a cruising speed of 30 knots.
