MasterCraft, among the world’s largest producers of inboard ski and wakeboard boats, will unveil two exciting new tow-sports and social craft for the first time in Australia at the Gold Coast International Marine Expo from May 19-22.
The new X26 and NX7 Global Edition wake boats from US-based watersports boat-builder join the growing raft of new-boat launches at Expo spanning luxury motor yachts, diverse powerboats and nautical products.
"The fact so many of the leading boating brands and businesses had reserved the Expo dates for their latest releases ensures an incredible experience for Expo visitors," said Event and Marketing Manager Emma Brown.
MasterCraft’s Australian general manager Ronnie Arenson said the tournament-capable MasterCraft X26 is the biggest wakeboat on the market and delivers a category-defining balance of power, luxury and playfulness.
"With enough room for 18 people, a wet bar with refrigerator, separate head and a bow thruster, there’s no industry precedent for the X26’s high level of craftsmanship and luxury," he said.
The new MasterCraft NX7 Global Edition bowrider is where the marque’s legendary watersports performance meets outboard propulsion. Mr Arenson said it starts with one of the best crossover hulls ever built.
"By coupling a Mercury 225hp Verado outboard engine on the transom and introducing a new coastal deck layout, the NX7 transforms the very popular NXT20 into a versatile all-day boat that can accommodate up to 13 people," he said.
MasterCraft sells boats in over 30 countries and has over 130 dealers throughout the world. The new NX7 sure would be a great boat for the Gold Coast waterways.
EXPO ACCESS AND PARKING
Meanwhile, there is oodles of parking on site at Expo this year. But there are also new transport links between the main Expo site at Coomera and Expo’s new external site at Marina Mirage in Main Beach, with visitors offered the choice of travelling between the sites by shuttle bus, boat or helicopter.
Free daily bus transfers from Marina Mirage, stopping in key locations en route to Expo, will take 40 minutes or guests can enjoy champagne breakfast cruises to the Expo and sunset cruises back to Marina Mirage each day via ferry.
There will also be helicopter transfers between the event sites in addition to the free shuttle buses operating in a loop every hour on the half-hour from Coomera Railway Station.
There is extensive free car-parking right outside the Expo at the Gold Coast Marine Precinct at Coomera, too.
For the family, there's live entertainment and interactive demonstrations every 15 minutes, factory tours of the biggest recreational shipyards and boat-builders in the Southern Hemisphere.
And don't forget the chance to win a ready-to-launch Quintrex family boating package worth more than $40,000 simply by buying your tickets online at gcmarineexpo.com.au.
