Following on from its launch at the recent Noosa Festival of Surfing, Chaparral Australia has towed its new towboats down the highway to launch the line-up at the 2017 Gold Coast International Boat Show and Marine Expo from March 17-19.
The new Chaparral surfboats incorporate the Malibu Surf Gate wake-making system and Volvo Penta’s Forward Drive for a solid and sizable surf waves and a high quality wakeboarding and waterski wake should you prefer.
Chaparral's new towboats on show include the 244 Sunesta Surf (from $144,999 on trailer), the 227 SSX Surf (from $134,999 on trailer) and the 257 SSX Surf (from $164,999 on trailer).
As with all Chaparral boats, the new surf models are said to be built “saltwater tough” with top quality materials, deep freeboard, high windscreens, integrated drainage, and big stern platforms.
Chaparral created the new surfboats by optimising five boats from its existing model lines. It took weight distribution, hull shape and deck layouts into account, and then redesigned the hulls to create a big, clean wave.
Rod Elliot from Australian Marine Centre in Springwood, the new south Queensland dealer, adds that a lifetime hull warranty and the latest technology from one of the world’s biggest R & D facilities add to the brand’s appeal.
"We can’t wait to show Queensland buyers what these boats are all about and will have great deals across the whole range for the show," Elliot said.
Chaparral will also have a 210 Suncoast Ski/Fish and a 19H2O on display at AMC.
