Conducted by Marine Queensland (MQ), the boat show has come into being following requests from members of the Gold Coast Marine Industry Association and major retailers.
Despite the trend to larger boats on the Gold Coast, MQ president, Barry Jenkins, said that more than 80 per cent of the 26,000 registered boats in the region are under six metres in length and highlights the popularity of trailerboats.
The Carrara Sports Complex is situated on the Nerang-Broadbeach Road and on the banks of the Nerang River, the backdrop for the outdoor show, said MQ.
Session times are 10am to 6pm each day and admission prices are $10 adults, $8 pensioners and concession, $8 students, with children under 12 admitted free.
