
The 2014 event will see over 150 entries, approximately 1000 direct participants and in excess of 8000 visitors, plus the popular passage races from Portarlington will be re-introduced. This will bring a large fleet of Couta Boats to Geelong.
See first-hand some of the most historic wooden boats in Australia.
In 2014 there will be an increased focus on family participation involving greater children's activities. This will include the Tall Ship Enterprize, treasure hunts, face painting an art and photographic competition plus hands-on wooden boat building activities presented by local schools.
The festival will again attract the highest calibre of boats from all around Victoria and interstate to compete in this, the sixth festival.
They will be competing in an extensive program which will comprise both on-water and shore-based activities, including the Grand Parade of Boats and Cavalcade of Sail, a Concourse d’ Elegance, racing for the Corio Bay Couta Boat Cup, the Corio Bay Classic Wooden Yacht Cup and the passage races from Portarlington to Geelong.

Organisers have announced that the 2014 Presentation Dinner guest speaker will be the internationally renowned cruiser and author Ms Jill Knight of Cooee fame. Jill will be making several other appearances at the festival, she will be speaking at the Cruising Dinner as well at our theatre.
Visitors can experience the spectacle of Geelong from the bay by taking a cruise on the Tall Ship Enterprize.
Other attractions include the Jaguar Car Club, The Geelong’s Men’s Shed, Steam Engines, Model Boats, Cultural displays and the Old Skool Street Cars.
