Raymarine will have its YachtSense smart electrical system on display at the 2021 Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show, the company has announced.
The new modular system, which can automate the electrical needs on a boat, allows skippers to do everything from check the genset’s status in real-time to dimming the lights in the boat’s saloon.
It’s a modular system that can grow with the boat, featuring a series of plug-in sections that allow the system to be optimised for the electronics.
The system also includes remote modules that can locate closer to the systems they control.
Once connected, YachtSense can control systems as diverse as bilge pumps and fans; navigation, underwater and interior lights; anchors and swim platforms; windscreen wipers; deck sunshades; and even power hatches such as those over engine rooms.
The YachtSense system is built with three layers of redundancy, with the option of a full manual override via an integrated keypad and LCD screen on the master module that can also display the system’s diagnostics to help with troubleshooting.
The system is available in both 12 volts and 24 volts DC.
YachtSense is fully compatible with Raymarine’s range of Axiom, Axiom+, Axiom Pro and Axiom XL navigation displays, and the LightHouse 3 operating system.
The Axiom+ system is the latest in Raymarine’s line of multifunction displays optimised for fishing or sailing.
