Queensland-based natural degreasers and lanolin grease products maker Lanotec has launched a new range of lanolin-based products optimised for the marine industry.
The new Lanotec MGX line taps into the company’s 25 years of experience producing lanolin-based products to provide a marine-grade lubricant optimised for the marine environment.
According to Lanotec, MGX will provide “long-term corrosion protection for inboards, outboards, electronics, including battery terminals, wiring and connectors, plus cables, engine mounts and pumps, crevice corrosion and canopy frames” as well as preventing damage caused by the galling of dissimilar metals.

Lanotec said MGX could also be used for other common marine-based trouble spots such as steering and throttle cables, sterndrive legs, outboard engine mounting brackets and hinges.
Lanotec MGX is resistant to high-pressure wash-off, and because it is safe for use with rubber and plastic it can also be used for electronics such as battery terminals, wiring and connectors.
It can also be used for anything exposed to the marine environment such as boat trailers, rods and reels, lures and anchor chains.
The new aerosol line features a combo nozzle that can switch between a directed stream and spray, and an inert non-hazardous and non-flammable carbon dioxide propellant.
Lanotec MGX is available in 300-gram aerosol, 600-millilitre spray packs, and 5.0-litre bulk pack sizes.
