Fusion has released an all-new headless audio system that lets boat owners fit it wherever they have the space to stuff it in – even if it is the glovebox.
The Fusion Apollo WB675 unit will allow users to install a small dial-based or touchscreen control panel anywhere they have space around the boat’s dashboard, with the main unit tucked away elsewhere.
The new hidden unit recognises that boats are fitting ever-larger screens to dashboards, limiting the amount of space available for other accessories.
The new unit also includes Wi-Fi connectivity and can support up to four separate audio zones around the boat.

It will also offer Apple Airplay2 compatibility, meaning it will seamlessly connect with Apple devices and stream lossless audio.
“Designed to withstand extreme weather conditions, the WB675 is rigorously tested against salt fog, UV, humidity and extreme temperatures that can cause mechanical failure, providing peace of mind that the stereo will perform and last in the harsh marine environment,” Fusion said.
According to Fusion, the new headless audio system uses digital signal processing to optimise the sound delivered to Fusion’s entertainment systems, “resulting in superior sound quality at all volume levels and in every listening environment”.
The unit is priced at $849.

Garmin has also released the MS-RA60 audio system and EL sports speaker kit on the Australian market, priced from $589 including the radio, two speakers and a stealth antenna, along with everything needed for installation.
