CZone’s digital switching systems are now available across a wider range of smaller boats with the launch of the compact Control X module.
The Control X system, the smallest module available, is designed so that it does not include modules that won’t be used on the boat, lowering the cost of ownership.
Despite having fewer modules, the new fully waterproof Control X system will still allow the skipper to control features ranging from the boat’s lights to bow and stern thrusters, bilge pumps, engine compartment blowers, and even windscreen wipers, all via a single interface.
“Control X provides complete lighting control, including independent brightness of lights on the same colour zone, smooth transition colour effects and the ability to control lighting scenes from CZone circuits like party mode and night-time navigation,” CZone said.
“Use Control X to synchronise up to eight wiper motors on the same module and easily configure slow- and high-speed control as well as three unique intermittent timers in the CZone configuration tool.”
The Control X module uses digital switching that CZone says “eliminates the need for physical fuses”.
The system includes temperature monitoring and overcurrent protection and has capacitive touch buttons for a manual override to remove the need to have a traditional fuse bypass.
The Control X system is compatible with either 12- or 24-volt systems, and draws less than 5.0mA when in its ultra-low power use mode.
The CZone Control X digital switching module is on sale in Australia from $1929.
