US portable power station specialist Bluetti is poised to launch a 33.0Ah weatherproof portable battery pack on the Australian market that it claims can expand to almost 170Ah via plug-in companion batteries.
The Bluetti AC60 features rubber seals and an independent ducted cooling system that is made to resist water and dust, which gives the device an IP65 rating against sand and spray – a feature that makes it ideally suited to boating.
The device is fitted with a 600W inverter to recharge devices such as laptops, and a 403Wh LiFePO4 battery that can recharge a smartphone up to 43 times, a laptop up to 10 times, or power light for more than 60 hours.

It comes standard with two AC outlets, a single USB-C port, two USB-A ports, a 12-volt connector and a wireless charging pad.
Bluetti has designed the AC60 so that users can also plug in up to a pair of B80 806Wh battery packs to expand the total capacity to 2015Wh.
The device can recharge via a car charger, up to 200W solar panels or plug into the wall at home, with three recharging modes ranging from low and slow that minimises noise to rapid charging that can top up the device in less than an hour using Bluetti’s turbocharging adapter.
You can even connect to the device via a smartphone to monitor its state of charge.
The AC60 weighs 9.1 kilograms measures 290mm long by 205mm wide and 234mm high. Bluetti says it can easily fit into tight spaces and be moved around thanks to its folding handle.
The Bluetti AC60 is covered under a six-year warranty. Pre-orders for the AC60 and B80 combo in Australia will cost $1789 until June 22.
