While it's a subject rarely brought up at the dinner table, marine heads can make or break your boating experience. One of the big players in the ceramic-head space, Tecma has a new award-winning Nano head that is said to be the most compact fresh-water flush model on the market.
Both the new Nano and the Compass heads will feature on the distributor's, AMI Group's, line-up on display at Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show (SCIBS).
HEADS UP
The Compass is described as a compact and efficient unit designed for vessels 30-50' in length. The head is the result of comprehensive research to create a versatile solution for varied interior layouts.
This model is available as a short version, as are many Tecma toilets to allow for step-mounted installation (note to boat buyers: some marine heads are so high you can put your feet on the floor so this could help solve that problem).
NANO HEAD
Even more of a revolution in marine-toilet design, the award-winning Nano combines a designer look and comfort with the smallest sized unit on the market.
An innovation in technology, at a mere 295mm tall, the Nano is said to be whisper quiet and offers low consumption of both power and water.
With the Nano, the manufacturers Thetford Marine have succeeded as first supplier in the market to create such a small self-contain marine macerator toilet containing all macerator parts like macerator pump, solenoid, outlet and inlet hose and all of this without compromising in comfort, design and quality.
The Nano uses the consolidated ECO smart flush for less water and power.
The benefits of this extra low profile marine toilet:
>> Quiet and fast flush cycle.
>> Self contained and easy to install.
>> No need of replacing seals or gaskets.
>> Low water and electricity consumption.
>> Super powerful macerator turbine technology.
>> Clog resistant
>> Supreme ceramic quality
>> No need to accommodate a vacuum pump
>> Odour free
>> Extremely silent flush
The Nano is already built into several craft worldwide including Chaparral and Monterey boats. Head to stand 81 & 88 in the Pavilion, Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show, May 21-24, to see the new heads.
