Fusion Electronics and Stabicraft have announced that they will be working together, incorporating world-leading audio technology into the award-winning range of positive buoyancy aluminium boats.
The boats in the Stabicraft range are designed for extreme marine conditions, as well as everyday boating, and this is why they say they require the very best in audio electronics.
Fusion said its system chosen by Stabicraft was recently nominated for the Dame Award for innovation at last year's METS show in Amsterdam.
Paul Adams, owner and managing director of Stabicraft, said: "With both companies based in NZ we are able to share ideas in design and system placement right at the early stage of concept, to ensure the very best possible outcome."
Adams and Peter Maire, principal shareholder of Fusion Electronics, have both been recognised for their contribution to NZ business. Adams was named a member of the NZ Order of Merit in 2008 and Maire was made a Distinguished Companion of the NZ Order of Merit in the same year.
They met recently to discuss the way forward for the two companies and to seal the arrangement. Maire said: "Fusion Electronics is honoured to be working with NZ's leading boat manufacturer, especially given the parallels we have in our thinking."
