US fibreglass saltwater boat specialist knows its customers. More importantly, it knows how to connect customers with its products.
The brand has a wide range of boats on offer, but the one we’re interested in today is the Freedom line of dual-console boats. Near the pinnacle of the Freedom range is the 10.1-metre Grady-White Freedom 325.
There are a couple posted on boatsales, but we like this near-new one, on offer for $599,000 after its owner admitted they have already shaved some of the price off the top.
Why the Freedom 325? In short, it’s a boat that will head offshore fishing one day, and then lay up for a night at your favourite beach on the next.
The boat uses its dual-console layout to feature a bed large enough for two people on one side, and a comfortable bathroom on the other.
In a nod to family duties, the Grady-White Freedom 325 features a cosy bow lounge up front. Dubbed the sun platform, which can convert to a fishing deck once all the cushions are tucked away in lockers under the seats.
But it is a fishing boat, so that means it has an onboard livewell, as well as side and transom doors for hauling in that trophy fish.
This one, though, is definitely set up for fishing, with twin 16-inch Garmin displays with sonar and a 1kW transducer, outriggers, and a custom bait board.
We can also see a Fusion audio system, Lewmar bow thruster, Yamaha CL7 touchscreen display connected to the twin F300s that power this boat, Yamaha’s Helm Master EX, trim tabs, autopilot … the list goes on.
The owner has also dipped into Grady-White’s options list, fitting the boat with an Isotherm fridge in the cockpit beneath a clever shelf that pops out of the way to reveal a recess below, and a set of drawers. Another option thrown in for good measure is the retracting sunshade.
According to the ad, the engines have only seen around 55 hours of service, making this a near-new boat for a sharp discount over the price of a new one.
