Fountaine Pajot has released a New 42 in the hotly contested cruising catamaran class.
The popular French builder says its 42 dubbed simply "New" is distinguished by an abundance of natural light, energetic lines, elegant living spaces and unparalleled comfort, while retaining the shipyard's DNA for exceptional offshore performance.
Following on from the new-generation, much-vaunted Saona 47 model, the New 42 also has inverted bow lines — the new signature mark of the range — giving the modern cat an elegant and dynamic profile, while offering more interior space.
The catamaran was conceived and designed to facilitate free-flowing movement throughout the boat, as well as linking the helm station with the outdoor relaxation and living spaces from coachroof to cockpit.
The coachroof features a double seat at the helm station and a built-in sun lounger for enjoying idyllic days with friends and family.
The spacious cockpit, equipped with an optional integrated plancha grill, is the perfect place to relax and feel at one with the sea, enthuses Fountaine Pajot.
The cockpit is enhanced by the "Beach Club" option, an electric platform that doubles as a tender lift, that is fitted flush with the lines of the New 42.
A plush lounge has been designed with expansive panoramic windows that bathe the interior in natural light.
The sleek U-shaped galley, which transitions seamlessly with the cockpit courtesy of a vast sliding pocket door, is also said to be a safe and practical kitchen space during hard weather passages.
Available in two versions — Owner and Quatuor — with numerous bathroom layout options, Fountaine Pajot's New 42 is said to have everything needed to fulfil every cruiser's casual or extended voyage dreams.
