Fountaine Pajot Motor Yachts has just announced an exciting new power catamaran, the MY37, will be launched in early 2015.
The MY37 replaces the successful Highland 35 with claims it will revolutionise the entry-level segment of the world's power catamaran market via its impressive features, performance and value for money.
The Fountaine Pajot Motor Yachts team and naval architect Daniel Andrieu have designed a multihull that the boatbuilder says will be lauded for its superior comfort, outstanding views and beautiful luminosity.
The MY37 also possesses the key attributes of the French yard's range, including excellent offshore performance, stability, volume, and impressive range that make the boat extremely economical. Engines are base twin 110hp or upgraded 220hp models
Unlike most power catamarans of its size, the MY37 is available in a three and a four-cabin layout making it ideal for both personal cruising use and commercial charter companies.
The MY37 is designed to optimise entertaining and relaxation, and its capacious 13.5sq m cockpit comfortably accommodates six guests at the dining table while still allowing easy circulation and access through the large sliding saloon doors. The cockpit also has space for an optional extra fridge, BBQ and hydraulic gangway.
The generous 12sqm flybridge is said to be a superb retreat for both guests and crew. The helm station affords panoramic views through its glare-resistant windshield and an option for a second helm seat so guests can share the cruising experience with the skipper.
Other guests can relax and dine on this upper level with a table to seat six. The cat can also be customised with an additional fridge and luxurious reclining sunbed. Both the cockpit and flybridge can be fitted with biminis to ensure protection and comfort from the natural elements.
Fountaine Pajot says the interior of the MY37 has been designed to the highest standards with exceptional natural light through 360-degree panoramic windows, 2.1m headroom and ambient LED lighting. The saloon is available in two versions including the option for a second wheelhouse or sofa, and has an unprecedented amount of storage space for extended passage making.
The catamaran's galley is eminently practical and features a 150 litre drawer fridge, double sink, three-burner hob stove and integrated waste bin.
Spacious windows bathe the hulls in natural light and ensure the cabins enjoy idyllic views and excellent ventilation.
The three-cabin Owner's version boast a layout and fixtures befitting a boat of a much larger size, with its generous portside master suite and private bathroom, two spacious guest cabins with large shared bathroom, laundry and remarkable storage capacity. The four-cabin standard version of the MY37 is similarly endowed with ample storage, large cabins and has one expansive bathroom in each hull.
In both versions, the aft cabins boast island beds while the beds in the forward cabins are not compromised in size unlike some other catamarans in its class.
The MY37 has been designed for unparalleled performance and economy. The catamaran features two 600-litre fuel tanks, a 350-litre water tank, optional generator and watermaker, 1000W windlass, washing machine in the Owner's version, and offers a host of options including additional fridge or freezer and a sunbed on the bow deck.
With projected top speeds of 20 knots, the MY37 is the ultimate fuel-efficient and economical power catamaran, and in eco-cruising mode the vessel can cover an impressive 1200nm at 7.5 knots.
Its wide hulls and high bridge deck clearance delivers outstanding stability and exceptional performance in challenging conditions, making the MY37 arguably the leading power catamaran of its size in the world market.
Priced from $AUD590,000, the MY37 is now available for order from Multihull Solutions with the first deliveries to the Asia Pacific scheduled in mid-2015.
