With the rise in popularity of trailerboats sporting hard tops, Formosa Marine has re-launched its open Hard Top range on its three Formosa and SeaRod half-cabin models.
Formosa makes the point that, unlike many other boat brands that only offer an enclosed hardtop, its Hard Tops are also available as an open-style that can be fitted with front and side clears.
By having an option to have clears instead of fixed screens, you can enjoy protection from the elements without the claustrophobic feeling you get with an enclosed hard top, explains the Queensland boatbuilder.
The clears can easily be removed to take advantage of those warmer days. The top is welded to the cabin and is said to be as solid as a rock.
The Hard Tops include eight rod holders in a launcher, rear grab rail, aerial mount and internal radio/stereo box.
Brisbane-based Formosa says its Hard Top can also be customised to suit a radar mount or tie-down rails.
Formosa has three half-cabin models now available with the Hard Top: the 5.2, 5.5 and 5.8m. More information from Formosa and SeaRod dealers and at http://www.formosamarineboats.com.au.
