A braid band on each spool is a great match for today’s gelspun superlines, so you can attach your braid mainline directly to the spool without fear of slippage or the need for monofilament backing.  

Mega Lite spin reels are available in three saltwater sizes: the 40 holds 240yd (215m) of 30lb (15kg) braid and delivers 18lb (8.5kg) of drag; the 60 provides for 250yd (225m) of 50lb (24kg) and 23lb (10kg) of drag; and the 80 size swallows 310yd (280m) of 65lb (30kg) braid and has a max drag of 28lb (12kg).
