First Quintrex Community Week kicks off this weekend

Week-long celebration plans to shine a light on Quintrex ownership and the boating lifestyle

Hundreds of Quintrex boats are expected to take to the water this week as its dealers launch an Australia-wide celebration of the iconic brand.

The first-ever Quintex Community Week, which runs from tomorrow until October 31, aims to bring Quintrex owners together to share their love of the brand, and serve as an introduction for people new to boating to step onboard and learn about safe boating.

Activities including a Pink Ribbon barbecue to raise funds for the Cancer Council's fight against breast and gynaecological cancers, which are planned for dealerships in key boating hotspots.

Sam Heyes, the general manager of Quintrex’s owner Telwater, said Quintrex was excited that it got to share the boating lifestyle with more Australians.

“It is our job to not only lead the way with boat manufacturing but also, boating knowledge to ensure everyone on the water has the best and safest experience they possibly can,” Heyes said.

The community week was set up in response to an understanding that although Australia’s boating market has attracted new owners keen to have a ‘staycation’ at home rather than travel, research suggests there are still a number of barriers stopping people making the jump into boating – namely a lack of knowledge and fundamental skills.

“The best way to become comfortable with anything new is practice and knowledge, and with the assistance of the Quintrex team and our local dealers we hope that we can further this learning to ensure safe boating throughout our waterways,” Heyes said.

“We also hope that through this event, we can attract new customers into the industry by showcasing how easy boating can be and answering any questions they may have in an interpersonal manner.”
