A fire last week destroyed 40 per cent of the buildings at Empire Marina, at Bobbin Head in Sydney.
Over 50 fire fighters fought the blaze for five hours before bringing it under control.
Empire director Darren Vaux praised the efforts of the firefighters who had to evacuate 20 diners from the nearby restaurant during the emergency.
Mr Vaux said that nobody was hurt during the fire and no boats were damaged.
He also said that it was fortunate that the fire didn’t spread to adjoining bushland which is part of the Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park.
Mr Vaux added that the damaged part of the marina, which housed a shipwright and mechanical, business would be rebuilt.
