Ferretti’s latest luxury yacht takes a female form

Latest design from Italy’s luxury yacht builder has a “certain femininity”, its creator says

Luxury Italian yacht builder Ferretti has unveiled a new multi-tiered luxury custom 70-metre yacht oozing with what it says is “sophisticated style and delicate harmony of form” – but with a distinctly feminine touch.

Unveiled at this week’s Boot Dusseldorf, the minimalist-look concept is simply called “She”.

“As her name suggests, the She design concept exudes a certain femininity of touch with a subtly seductive construction, as can be appreciated in the generous spaces on the decks and the ample, welcoming interiors,” the project’s creator, Ferretti subsidiary CRN, said. The new vessel also tapped the talents of Vallicetti Design.

“The slender profile and linear styling, with the horizontal line inscribed from the bow all along the hull and around the transom, lend the architectural composition a certain effervescence.”

A highlight of the design are the distinctive wings built into the forward gunwales on the upper and lower decks. The decks all use glass-filled railings to provide an uninterrupted view aft.

“With her five decks, array of outdoor areas, and transcendent interior comfort, She is designed for an owner who loves to spend long periods on board with their guests while savouring the cruising experience,” Ferretti said.

Significant Ferretti motor yachts to have plied Australian waters include John Symond’s 73-metre Hasna, and Lindsay Fox’s 74-metre Volpini 2.
