Fairline WA delivers another 42

Fairline Western Australia took delivery of its third Squadron 42 this week, marking yet another landmark for the brand and dealer by continuing with its successful sales performance.

Earlier this year, the same dealer celebrated another landmark, with four Squadron 65 models sold within a 16-month period.  

Fairline says that the Squadron 42 was delivered to its new owner having decided on their first Fairline yacht when the build and quality were compared to the competition. 

From the British boat builder’s factory in Oundle, Northamptonshire, the luxury yacht was loaded on to a vessel at Felixstowe where she began her sea journey on 23 June, travelling down the Suez Canal to Singapore where she was unloaded on 14 July. Once loaded on to another vessel, she finally reached her final destination, Freemantle on 27 July, 34 days after she set sail.

"The fact we have sold three Squadron 42s within a one-year period indicates the model is perfectly suited to the local Australian market. The continued sales success cements Fairline Boats as the leading European brand in Western Australia based on units sold in recent years," said Glen Moltoni for Fairline Western Australia. 

This will be the first Squadron 42 into Australia with the elegant ‘white sand’ coloured hull band.

“The expansive flybridge, exceptional British craftsmanship and the excellent value representation against the current Australian Dollar, matched with clever design and use of space that gives the usability of a larger boat makes this motor yacht particularly popular with Australian owners,” he continued.  

Since Fairline Boats debuted its Squadron 42 in Australia at the Mandurah Boat Show in October 2011, the model has been a hit with the Australian market. 

The Squadron 42  utilises the design and technology advancements pioneered in Fairline’s larger models. With its elegant sweeping lines, the compact yacht has a real sense of spaciousness inside afforded by its panoramic windows and the foredeck glazing, a Fairline signature, all of which opens up the forward cabin with a ceiling of uninterrupted natural light.

On the exterior, the model has an extra-large flybridge, walk-around side decks and with the twin transom gates, the cockpit has an unusual sense of openness. Other intelligent use of space includes the convertible backseat which can be turned into a rear-facing lounger to create a sociable terrace area.

With a series of boat shows taking place across Australia in recent months, Fairline has been well represented by its network of dealers as it continues to drive the luxury yachting market.  The recently appointed Fairline New South Wales dealership will also fall under the management of Moltoni.   

Fairline Boats have also recently announced the launch of its Targa 62 Gran Tourismo and the British boat manufacturer will display its new model at the upcoming PSP Southampton Boat Show in the UK from 14-23 September.

Fairline says that this, the largest sports cruiser in their Targa range, will be popular with owners wishing to socialise, as it boasts spacious entertainment areas including a large open cockpit with a barbeque, fully-equipped bar and a luxurious sunpad, as well as a full-width master cabin.
