Stage 1 Marina Berths have been released in conjunction with a limited number of waterfront apartments for public sale at one of Melbourne’s newest marine addresses, Wyndham Harbour, Point Cook, on Port Phillip Bay’s northwest shoreline.
A total of 1000 marina berths and dry-boat storage for up to 390 boats are planned for Wyndham Harbour, making it the only approved safe-boat harbour between Williamstown and Geelong.
The Stage 1 Marina release includes a limited number of 99-year wet berths ranging from 10 to 30m in length, and developers expect these to be highly sought after due to the scarcity of berths around the bay and say they already selling fast.
Demand for the luxury 1, 2 and 3-bedroom apartments is also expected to be strong following the sell-out success of the first land release in Wyndham Harbour, which saw all 63 lots reportedly sold prior to public release in February this year and a second land-release launched a couple of months ago, which is already more than 90 per cent sold.
Designed by renowned architects Fender Katsalidis Mirams, the Marina Quays Apartments are situated on the waterfront, with many apartments offering stunning views of Port Phillip Bay, the marina, a private landscaped garden and the city skyline.
The Marina Quays Apartments overlook the marina and are situated in the heart of the Marina Square – a retail and dining precinct that will become the thriving centre and activity hub of Wyndham Harbour.
Prices start at $254,000 for a one-bedroom apartment, $399,000 for a two-bedroom apartment and $569,000 for a three-bedroom apartment.
"Living at the Marina Quays Apartments offers the best of coastal living, with your boat anchored just metres away and great cafes and restaurants nearby," said Wyndham Harbour senior development manager Sonya Miller.
"Due to unprecedented demand from local buyers there may be a very limited window of opportunity to be part of Wyndham Harbour in this first stage.
"I encourage home buyers, berth buyers and investors to get in touch with our sales office, phone (03) 9394 2688 or register online via at WyndhamHarbour.com.au to avoid disappointment," she said.
General manager of the Boating Industry Association Victoria, Clyde Batty said: "Wyndham Harbour will provide important and much needed infrastructure for a boating lifestyle in the West of Melbourne.
"Boating is increasing in popularity across Victoria with families becoming more involved and therefore the need to provide these types of facilities. A safe harbour with the proposed amenities provides those families with a great base to enjoy recreational boating in Melbourne waters," he said.
The Wyndham Harbour Sales Office is open 7 days a week and is located at the Sanctuary Lakes Shopping Centre, Shop 4, 300 Point Cook Road, Point Cook.
