Expanded space for 2024 Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show

More room added to exhibition space ahead of the 2024 Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show

The Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show will expand to include a new undercover space and more trailer boats as running changes that will be introduced to next year’s event.

The largest boat show in Australia will expand its waterfront display space with a new indoor exhibition precinct called the Marina BLVD Hall.

Organisers have also announced that the 2024 show will expand the space available in the sports, leisure and fishing precinct to allow for more trailer boats to go on show at the event.

Exhibitors have until the end of October to book spaces at the 35th show, with spaces expected to sell out similar to last year.

According to Mulpha Events, the show’s orgainsers, last year’s show, featuring more than 300 exhibitors, 740 boats, 2500 marine products and several global, regional and Australian debuts, generated sales worth hundreds of millions of dollars.

Gold Coast-based luxury motor yacht maker Maritimo used this year’s show to launch its new S75 sedan to the world.

According to Maritimo founder Bill Barry-Cotter, the sales generated from the 2023 show alone would be keeping the motor yacht maker busy for the next few years.

“We had visitors from around the world, including south-east Asia and New Zealand, as well as interstate,” Barry-Cotter said.

“Our larger boats, in particular the Maritimo M75 flybridge and S75 sedan motor yachts, were a major focus of attention and sales have been very, very good.”

Australian showcase

Similar to previous years, fellow Gold Coast-based luxury motor yacht maker Riviera will use the Sanctuary Cove show for its only Australian showcase

Riviera owner Rodney Longhurst said the brand would feature an 11-motor yacht showcase featuring Sports Motor Yacht, Motor Yacht, Flybridge, SUV, Sport Yacht and Belize products ranging from 39 to 78 feet – and maybe something new.

“Premiere releases and Riviera family celebrations, presented by our world-class team, will all be a part of our festivities,” Longhurst said.

According to Eyachts and TMG Yachts general manager Ross Turner, SCIBS was the right place to showcase a cutting-edge range of European boats and to premiere the latest designs and technologies from the group’s yacht and boat portfolio to buyers from across Australia, New Zealand and beyond.

“The Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show is now undisputedly a world-class event on par with many of the European and US boat shows,” Turner said.

“SCIBS 2024 can be expected to have the most exciting boats and latest trends on display and Eyachts and TMG Yachts will be there to take our place in what is sure to be an epic event.”

The 35th Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show will be held from May 23-26, 2024. To apply to become an exhibitor or for more information visit sanctuarycoveboatshow.com.au.
