Evolution 650 Predator

The Evolution 650 Predator is a trailerboat with the characteristics of larger craft

Trailerboat evolution

Spend a little time in the Evolution 650 Predator and you'll soon think it's a much bigger vessel, in fact you will not believe its just 6.5 metres.

The beauty is, it has the feel and comfort of larger gameboats, with generous range, but is still a trailerboat.

Take the 650 Predator through choppy waters or even a sizeable bow wake and it never feels anything less than magnificently stable. Despite some spectacular water displacement, the passengers remain dry.

Tested just north of Couran Cove, Qld, with the maximum recommended power from twin 150 Evinrudes, the stability and speed made drivers soon decide "I want one".

While suitable for all areas, the 650 Predator is designed for long offshore trips, like the run 50nm offshore to the continental shelf.

Generous space makes the 650 Predator great for families, but most of all, it's a fisherman's favourite.

Features include a 320lt fuel tank, trim tabs, electric anchor winch, glass windscreen, self-draining cockpit, 80lt livebait tank and 140lt icebox, a large fishing platform, roomy cockpit, stylish cabin and plenty of storage.

The 21º deadrise and wide reverse chines deliver a smooth ride underway and rock-solid stability at rest. The transom contains built-in tackle boxes, 80lt livebait tank, flush opening doors allowing easy access to triple batteries, oil bottles, plus a host of other fishing essentials.

Evinrude has tested the Predator 650 to 83kmh (51mph) in saltwater with light chop, carrying two men, full fuel load and test gear, so its not short in the speed department either.

So, for the tournament angler backing down on that elusive marlin, weekends away, overnighting or just out with friends and family, the Evolution 650 Predator is a short-list must.
