Naples-based luxury motor yacht brand Evo has announced the name of its soon-to-be new 24-metre flagship – it officially will be known as the Evo V8.
At first glance, the new Valerio Rivellini-designed Evo V8 – first introduced to the world as the Velar 78 concept – looks a bit like a scaled-up hard-topped open boat, with drop-down windows in the saloon further enhancing the idea it is more day boat than grand tourer.
However, new renders of the luxury motor yacht, released this week, show a fast, capable cruiser with distinctive broad sidedecks and a narrow saloon missing none of the comforts of an extended liveaboard vessel.

This includes four helm stations – one located centrally at the front of the saloon, a retractable one on the rooftop, and port and starboard helms aft of the main deck complete with their own lounge spaces – that blur the lines between sailing yacht and motor cruiser.
The yachting similarities don’t end there, with a sugar scoop-styled open transom, with extendable cockpit side decks that both increase space and act as swim decks, providing access to the water.
Other details are scarce ahead of the Evo V8’s official arrival at the 2021 Cannes Yachting Festival, but the renderings show the full-beam master amidships, and a second spacious guest stateroom in the bow. The first Evo 8 will have another guest cabin with accommodation for three, as well as a twin-berth crew cabin.
The design has two separate stairways leading from the main deck to the lower deck, separating the crew’s living space from the rest of the vessel.
The first V8 to come off Evo’s line also includes direct access from the
Master stateroom to a sunken beach lounge that can be closed off from the rest of the boat..
Evo Yachts said the Evo V8 was the first model in a new “V”-badged line of boats.
