Ensign appointed dealer for IAG Yachts

Ensign Yachts Pty Ltd has announced that they have been appointed the exclusive international agents for IAG Yachts for Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, and Thailand.

IAG Yachts, a collaboration of twin brothers Michael and Bernard Chang, operates out of their offices in Hong Kong and Florida. Ensign is excited to bring the unique combination of passion, family values, and dreams that makes up the essence of IAG Yachts to Australasia.

As far as the design philosophy adopted by the Chang brothers, they report that: "Together with acclaimed yacht builder Andrea Nicolai and our talented interior designers, IAG prides itself in synergising these talents to achieve the pinnacle in yacht design and create some of the world’s most desired superyachts."

IAG Yachts pride themselves on giving their utmost attention to safety, performance and engineering, primarily. In essence, each superyacht designed and built by IAG is guaranteed to be of an extremely high standard.

To date, IAG Yachts have presented two ranges of superyachts, the 'Prima Donna' range and the 'Electra range. The first Prima Donna 127’ that was completed last year attended the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, and was well received by the public. Since the show, a contract has been signed by the American dealers for hull #5 of the Prima Donna range. The Managing Director of Ensign Yachts Pty Ltd, Tony Ross, is about to sign a contract for hull #2 for the 100’ Electra.

In addition to the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, the superyachts received plenty of attention at other international events such as the Hong Kong Boat Show (May 2011), the Shanghai International Boat Show (April 2011), and the Miami Yacht and Brokerage Show (April 2011), as well as a number of publications including the Megayacht News and Yachts International.
