Elandra appoints new dealer
Australian Boat Sales on Sydney Harbour to sell luxury Queensland built cruisersElandra Yachts has announced the appointment of Chris Hills of Australian Boat Sales to represent the company in Sydney Harbour. The dealership has operated from offices on the Harbour for the past 11 years.
Elandra's Luke Durman said the company had selected Australian Boat Sales because of its strong sales record in million-dollar-plus boating market.
"Chris Hills and his team have demonstrated an understanding of our market niche and great enthusiasm for our brand," he said. "It is important that the person representing the Elandra brand has an appreciation and a very good understanding of Elandra in terms of design, build quality, engineering and performance."
Australian Boat Sales Director Chris Hills was immediately sold on the new boat when it arrived in Sydney.
"This is one very impressive machine." he said. "The sheer volume of this vessel is something unique. With three separate lounge areas, the Elandra is the perfect layout for entertaining family and friends.
"I feel that there is a great place in the market for a vessel of this calibre. We look forward to working closely with the entire Elandra team."
Elandra Yachts has achieved multiple sales of its Elandra 53 semi-custom sports yacht following its unveiling in September last year.
The first two Elandra 53s were sold to New South Wales buyers. Elandra 53 No.2, with a gleaming gold hull colour, is in build at the company's yard in Queensland and is scheduled for completion in May. A white gelcoat-hulled Boat No.3. will be completed in August.
Commenting on progress, Durman said the team had already joined the hull and deck of Elandra 53 No.2.
"The team is well into the engineering and assembly stage," said Durman. "We expect to deliver to her new owner in June after the Sanctuary Cove Boat Show."
Elandra 53 No.1 is now conveniently berthed at Birkenhead Point which is home to Australian Boat Sales. Inspection is strictly by appointment.
