Dockwise Yacht transporter

Brisbane hosted the Dockwise Yacht Transporter recently as it carried 28 yachts with a combined value of almost $130 million into the Port of Brisbane.

The specialised carrier arrived in Brisbane loaded with luxury yachts on January 10, departing on January 14 for the Caribbean and Mediterranean.

Among the yachts on board the transport ship was a 150-foot superyacht valued at US$15 million, and two new luxury Bertram cruisers.

Four superyachts of more than 100 feet in length boarded the specialised carrier after cruising Australian waters.
It was the seventh visit by the yacht carrier in two years.

"Dockwise Yacht Transport has recognised that the South Pacific is an emerging superyacht market and, as such, will be looking at new ways to assist the superyacht industry take advantage of what Australia has to offer," Dockwise agent and Aurora Global Logistics director Jason Roberts said.
