De Antonio 23

Spanish designer dayboat spearheads 'The Boutique Boat Company's' launch
Every so often, a motoryacht design appears that takes the boating community by surprise. This is one of those times, says the newly launched Boutique Boat Company, proudly presenting De Antonio for the first time in Australia.
The very first motoryacht by Spanish newcomer De Antonio is "as impressive as you might imagine."
SPANISH DESIGNER STUDIO
Designed by Marc de Antonio of renowned Ubica Studio in Barcelona, the D23 is both a testament to minimalist design and a groundbreaking entrance for De Antonio into the boutique ‘mini yacht’ category.
Described as flawlessly designed, the D23 is an open boat made for up to six people with plenty of room for customisation within her seven-metre length. Simple and innovative lines give an elegant sophistication for someone looking for a different type of tender or dayboat.
Quality finishes add to both the design and construction, with fibreglass hull, carbon bow fairleads, retractable cleats, teak deck, and spectacular leather and stainless steel steering wheel.
For added comfort, the adaptable aft area allows for table dining or a larger sundeck when lowered. Added bonuses include LED navigation and ambient lighting and retractable swimming ladder.
CONCEALED OUTBOARD POWER
The hidden outboard engine is said to add to the streamlined aesthetic and provide a pleasant and silent ride compared to other 'cruising yachts'. The space is cleverly allocated to social seating, with two aisles on either side of the covered motor.
Though hidden, the modern design in no way interferes with the performance, says the Spanish yard.
With an 115hp engine, the boat cruises at 24 knots at 5200rpm while remaining manageable and easily adapting to any need. However, the fibreglass and polyester resin hull lends itself to top speeds of over 30 knots with excellent manoeuvrability and precision, says De Antonio.
HIGH STANDARDS AND OPTIONS
The most impressive part of the D23’s design, however, has to be the number of available custom options. Everything from the engine, seating configuration and a range of over 30 innovative hull and upholstery colours can be chosen based on owner preference. There are cherry reds, ocean blues and sunset yellows to name a few.
Standard equipment includes non-skid deck, cushions and upholstery, carbon-fibre flagpole, twin carbon bow mooring fairleads, manual anchoring kit, windshield, bilge pump plus retractable cleats and handholds.
Optional accessories like carbon-fibre hardtop, doors in the stern, ski and wakeboard supports, raised windshield, electric refrigerator and a retractable table with hydraulic foot add to the D23’s standout capabilities.
THE BOUTIQUE ERA
The Boutique Boat Company represents a range of European boats with unique and extraordinary design. Stand-alone feats of engineering and aesthetics are championed, as well as a refined eye for beautifully crafted design.
The D23 will be available for a first look at the Prospect Quay Luxury Lifestyle Display in Fremantle, WA, from the October 16-18.
