It’s official: The 2023 Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show will run from May 25-28 next year, as the organisers behind Australia’s largest boating extravaganza open bookings from potential exhibitors.
This year’s event attracted more than 45,000 visitors through the gates to see more than 600 boats on display either in the marina or on the grounds around Sanctuary Cove. Sales from the 334 exhibitors who attended are estimated to have brought in around $470 million to the Australian economy over the four days of the event.
Organisers behind the event say exhibitor demand is so high that the marina that hosts the show will add another 28 berths to meet the anticipated extra demand over this year’s show.
Gold Coast-based luxury motor yacht brand Maritimo has already said it will attend next year’s event, which coincides with the 20th anniversary of the brand..
Maritimo managing director Tom Barry-Cotter said to mark the occasion, the event would be its biggest show in two decades.
“Maritimo will [use the show to] begin its 20-year anniversary celebrations and the global launch of the two largest and most heralded motor yachts in its history, the M75 Flybridge Motor Yacht and the S75 Sedan Motor Yacht,” he said.
“There are not many places better than the Gold Coast in May, so we welcome customers and guests from all over the world.
“The sun is almost always shining, there’s a diversity of crowds, and everybody is there to enjoy everything about boating.”
Already locking in its southern hemisphere debut is the Princess Y72, the newest addition to the British brand’s range of modern flybridge cruisers. Several other boat dealers boatsales.com.au talked with said they also were planning now to bring in new and exciting models that are also expected to make their Australian debut.
The 34th Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show will run from May 25-28, 2023.
